Individual visitors £15.00 / night Book 6 places (8 at weekends) for a private booking 2-night bookings at weekends (Fri + Sat) 10% discount on 7 nights or longer

If Lazy Duck is booked on the nights you wanted we may be able to offer our Badanfhuarain Forest Cottage or the Woodman's Hut.

And if you have a tent, the Lazy Duck Camping Ground is in the Guardian's top ten for 2011

Otherwise, for 'groups only' of up to 25 in Nethy Bridge, try Nethy Station or you can easily contact all other independent hostels in the Cairngorms National Park

 

ACCOMMODATION and FACILITIES FOR UP TO 8 PEOPLE

in 2 separate sleeping areas

Upstairs, a bright spacious sleeping gallery for 4 (reached by a 'ship's ladder') available as a double when numbers permit
	Downstairs, 2 x 2-tier bunks each with window and bed-light, adjacent to a pristine shower room with basin & toilet (wheelchair accessible) Extra loo available by arrangment for large parties
Snug all-in-one kitchen / living area with music player, CDs, books, radio, wireless broadband facility and games box. No TV
	Sheltered covered garden with large outdoor table and log fire / BBQ Safe dry storage for bikes, skis and outdoor kit
Use of the 'Woodshed Sauna' with music . . . . by arrangement, at the end of the day A deeply relaxing 2-person space

 

OTHER FACILITIES

	Duvets, pillows, blankets and bed linen provided (please bring your own personal towels) Washing lines, washing machine & tumble drier available by arrangement
Fully equipped self-catering kitchen with gas cooker, microwave and fridge Home baked bread and free range eggs (usually) Grocery orders can delivered for your arrival
	1 mile from the Lazy Duck to food store, butcher and bar with food Local bus stop under 1/4 mile Alpine ski hire in Nethy Bridge (delivered to your door - best to pre-book) Ski mountaineering gear and Telemark hire in Aviemore 9 miles Bike hire in Boat of Garten 4 miles (delivered to your door - best to pre-book)
Waterfowl and wildlife are your nearest neighbours - lazy aylesbury ducks, mandarin, wigeon, pintail, carolina, whistling ducks, lots of roe deer, families of red squirrels, the rare crested tit & even an occasional capercaillie Very sorry, we can't accommodate dogs.

Nestling amongst ancient pine forest, we look south across a neighbouring 100 acre grazing moor of heather, peat moss, Caledonian pines, birch, rowan and juniper woods to Cairngorm (1245m) and BynackMore (1090m) 9 miles away.

We appreciate knowing when you hope to arrive so that the wood stove can be lit for you if it's cold
Checking out times can be fairly relaxed but no later than 10.30am please. However you are welcome to stay in the Lazy Duck all day if you are spending a second night or longer with us

A deposit to the value of your first night's stay will guarantee a booking - otherwise we'll do our best to fit you in
